athomp_21 will become famous soon enough
I'm just still in shock that this is REALLY happening, or maybe i've just been denying this was really happening and just was wrong in assuming it would somehow get smoothed over. I agree, he should have been able to talk to Pat, but really Pat should have been involved WAY sooner than this. I will NOW admit that I think Bus Cook was a big factor here. Gosh i just wish this early april fools joke nightmare would go away. im a poor college kid, what am i going to do with a worthless $75 cutler jersey now?

I would take that trade in a heart beat..............Mainly because of the 5th overall pick............Quinn has potential too though............But with the #5 and #12..............we could get Raji and Tyson Jackson both............even trade back in the 1st with our 12th to about 16th or 17th, still get Jackson and pick up an extra 3rd for our troubles.

There's a major difference between a Pats squad that's playing pretty much with continuity (which includes every starter on down) and a rookie head coach teaching every player on the squad a new system.

Cassel did get better as the season went on but I'm not holding my breath we'll be fielding the Patriots D to ease the pressure like he had.

I'm pissed because this team just had a nice big hole punched in the roster and it's a stretch to believe we'll be OK when we don't even know who the opening day starter will be.

Our defense is basically brand new and the offense will be featuring
1) a new system.
2) new QB.
3) new RB.

That's a pretty drastic change. I agree with you it's about the Broncos NOT Cutler... but damn this is a setback.

Setback for sure...but I hope they make this happen SOON. Sooner we can get in a new QB the better. He can start learning the offense, like Cutler SHOULD have been doing for the past month.

Total rebuild job now...............Complete over-haul of the Defense..........scheme, players, coaches............Offensively I think we are keeping the same O-line, which is one of the best in the entire NFL..........Marshall, Royal, Hillis..........staying with BASICALLY the same system.........some of the Offensive coaches remain.....Turner and Dennison............Just need a new QB now.............So, like I've said before..........two #1's and I'm fine with it...........or Quinn and the Browns #5 overall pick. I'm finally getting a little tired of it and part of me is glad we are trading him.............but, we are losing a QB that comes along once every 5 years or so...........his arm strength will be missed.

This has to happen fast..he looks like a baby ...his value may drop...if it's a forced type of trade.

We needed significant work on the offense with or without Jay. I love how the media likes to say the offense was 'fine' and to 'leave the offense alone, just fix the defense'. Our offense wasn't that spectacular, it was ranked 16th in points scored....#2 in yards. Who cares about yards. The offensive line is stellar. We have talent at WR. We have a versatile FB/HB hybrid. We seem to have acquired some RBs. Get a QB who can make smart decisions, and our offense will be fine. Hate to sound like Zam, but turn the ball over a little less, and we'll be putting less pressure on our defense too.

I was just looking at broncoscountry, to see how they were reacting, and jesus...I have never seen so man Jay Cutler fanboys in my life

What happened to that coach who wanted Elway traded again?

You notice how many former players were on Cutler's side in this mess?

We've got a ton of RB's.........not great, but not bad.........although, Hillis I feel is a future superstar. Receivers are excellent..........TE's are above average..........O-line is top three in the league or will be. ......Actually, this is an Offensive where you could stick a good decission making QB in there and we could do very well............As long as his name is not Ramsey. Since he's not a Bronco now, I'm feeling okay with Simms or hell, even Hackney..........I know they won't start Hackney, but that guy has heart and showed he's determined and very tough. Give me two 1st round picks for this Defense and I'll start to get very excited about the upcoming season...

Cutler has done nothing...man up and play

That's the only player comment I remember

Agreed

Raji & Orakpo or Maybin or Brown? Talk about an upgrade. Or even what you had suggested earlier, trading down and getting Jackson...though I think we have a logjam at DE now. That's why that Quinn + 5th makes sense. But would the Browns go for it?
